A year has passed, since I ran the Brighton Marathon 2019, it was my first marathon and I wasn’t sure if there would be a next marathon, I would attempt to run.
However, since lockdown and the unexpected turn of events, regarding the pandemic and how it’s had an impact on all of our lives. I believe more than ever, that our health is an absolute necessity, to stay healthy and keep my immune system strong, maintain a healthy mind and body is up there with my top priorities. Including an even more grander awareness towards an ecological mindset.
I decided recently, less than one week ago to run the London Marathon 2020, which has now decided to go virtual, which is a positive and healthy choice, especially now during covid-19 and social distancing. Staying at home and running a virtual marathon is the most safest, healthiest, ecological and conscious approach to helping #save lives and a being responsible human being.
Another important motivation in running the London Virtual Marathon 2020 is to raise funds for a charity close to my heart, PETA UK. As a plant based, vegan runner, supporting a cause, such as PETA UK is a positive way to help create an awareness towards the exploitation of animals and how this has a huge ecological impact on our natural environment. This leads to deforestation, climate change, plastic pollution in our oceans, endangered species, and the list continues.
Every support counts and every donation towards PETA UK counts, if you would like to make a donation, please view my link below:
Together we can make a difference!
